Amelia Island 2008

We just returned from our annual beach trip. This year we enjoyed having the Scherer family, Chip, Dena, Chase and Camryn, with us for the week. It was a relaxing week. Very little cooking/cleaning (if any) and lots of hours on the beach. Our sweet little Sarah Kate even enjoyed herself which was a big change from last summer. She was covered from head to toe in sand and even enjoyed eating it. Kyle enjoyed the beach, but was more interested in snack time and going to the pool. Daniel, age 6, was our beach boy this year. He would have stayed out there from dawn until dusk. Our time on the beach was spent hunting shark teeth, watching dolphins, making sand castles, riding boogie boards, flying kites, hunting she shells (as Kyle would say), digging for crabs, looking for jellyfish and starfish in the ocean, looking for turtles and rabbits in the sand dunes walking to and from the beach and chasing Sarah EVERYWHERE! It was a wonderful week with lots of family time. God is so good.
