Both boys have reached a preschool milestone this year. They are riding their bikes without training wheels! I know that it is old news now, but I think that it is definitely noteworthy news. Chris took on this project one evening while the boys were playing outside. He decided to take one training wheel off of Daniel's bike. In less than a week on March 7, I came home from the grocery store to find Daniel riding without training wheels. WOW! He was so proud of himself. Bike riding very quickly became a popular pastime at our house. A few months later, Chris took a training wheel off of Kyle's bike. At this point Daniel became the teacher/encourager. There's nothing like a little motivation from your big brother! On June 12, one month short of his fourth birthday, Kyle began riding his bike without training wheels. Chris' method of taking one wheel off at the time was very successful at our house. If you are coming to play with the Strickland boys, bring your bike. Sarah's means of transportation these days is the "Cozy Coupe". She hasn't learned out how to make it move. She just gets in, shuts the door and waves out the window. She is our little social butterfly.
