Preschool Days
Kyle's first day of preschool was September 3. As you can see from the picture, it started out pretty rough. Believe it or not, the pouty lips happened sometime between walking out the back door and getting into the van. I cannot even remember the issue it was so insignificant. I always take pictures of the kids on their first day of school, so I went on with my picture taking routine. I tried really hard to get him to smile, but nothing worked. So, here it is. This is my documentation of Kyle's first day, GROUCHY. When things aren't going his way, this is the look we get. He has it perfected. A grouchy boy with a cute bookbag, thank you Mrs. Rebecca for painting Kyle's football bookbag. By the time we got to school that day he was a happy preschooler. He gets over things quickly! Kyle loves Green Acres Preschool. He goes to school Monday, Wednesday and Friday each week. He loves Mrs. Cindy and is eager to clean up because they get gummies for rewards (whatever works)! He judges his day on whether or not he helped clean up, if he earned a gummy and if his new friend, Anna Riley, played with him. Yes, Kyle has a girlfriend. He talks about her all the time. He says, "She loves me because I am the fastest" and "She has pretty lipstick". Oh dear, aren't we just a little too young for that at age four? Last year it was Daniel and Juliette. This year it is Kyle and Anna Riley. Kyle is pretty good at school. Occasionally he sits it time out, but for the most part he behaves himself. One day last week when I picked him up, he hopped in the van and proclaimed, "Mommy, I didn't even be bad today!" You never know what he might say next. These preschool days are priceless!
